Latest Minimum Wage Increase in Türkiye
As of January 1, 2025, the net minimum wage in Türkiye has been set at 22,104 TL, reflecting a 30% increase from the previous year.
Employer Burden and Social Security Premiums
Employers are responsible for additional costs beyond the net wage, including social security premiums and unemployment insurance contributions. For each minimum wage employee, the employer's monthly financial obligation is as follows:
Gross Minimum Wage: 26,005.20 TL
Social Security Premium (Employer's Share): 4,030.73 TL (calculated at 15.5% of the gross wage)
Unemployment Insurance Contribution (Employer's Share): 520.11 TL (calculated at 2% of the gross wage)
Total Monthly Cost per Employee: 30,556.46 TL
Additionally, the government provides a minimum wage support of 1,000 TL per employee to assist employers with these costs.
